Choice of One Lost Wax Bead Group. Lost wax beads are made using a technique developed in the 6th-7th centuries AD. A new wax mold must be created for each bead, since the mold melts out during the heat process employed. This makes the beads very labor intensive to make. Each is a small work of art.
