This is the traditional Ghanaian “Adinkra” symbol EBAN,  which means "Fence." It is the symbol of safety, security and love.

The home is a special place to the Akan. A home that has a fence around it is safer, an ideal residence. The fence separates and secures the family from the outside, and is therefore symbolically associated with the security and safety one finds in the love of one’s family.

37x37mm.
